Marty, I've been playing a lot lately. I mean, hours and hours in a row and it's killing my legs and knees when I move after a long time, my back goes the same way. I often don't even eat... imagine that... to the point of hypoglycemia, that is, to be blurry/sleepy due to low glucose level on the blood stream. As you can see, I've done some research on this situation I'm in and I believe you've probably been there. The thing is I don't know how to remedy it. I get the guitar and just go play... try this idea, go for another one, one more rendition, this time make it killer, then another set of time for other chords trying other harmonizing strategies for reaching the desired intention... hours go by easily on this "creativity fiesta". It's a lot of fun for sure, but it's becoming physically alarming to me. I am 36 and I work from 9h to 5h. I spend most of my leisure time playing and recording. It's been a while since I last did some exercises, I mean other than those with a metronome. :D Any ideas on how to proceed for sparing my health so to keep going with the music effort? Thank you, Marty! |
