So, I'm someone you could call a jack of all trades, I suppose. The reason I chose to ask you a question is because I know of you as a king of one trade -- playing that guitar! Is there anything else you do well and with as much passion as playing guitar?
If you didn't play guitar, how would you make a living? I ask because I already have the answer regarding myself and really would like to know yours in case there is a brighter perspective I could hold. When I was 19 years old I told a friend/fellow artist that I wished I was pursuing music as a career and he told me that because I was an artist I would never be happy unless I was creating art for a living. That was over 10 years ago, and he might as well be a prophet at this point. So, what would be your alternative to music? If you had to pick an alternative to music, what would it be? |

I`m a decent public speaker and I would make a great proofreader as I am a grammar maniac, I`ve even proofread translations of Japanese medical documents (!) But I don`t think I would want to do that for a living. Being an artist I think I would be equally happy regardless of how much money I make, because music is just what I do. It`s what I would be doing anyway, so any success is just a bonus. Good luck. |
