Dear Marty,
I have been struggling with some family issues and that is probably why I continued playing music for over 10 years now. Yesterday, I thought to myself: The fulfilment I seek in family, if I could find it elsewhere, would I stick to family? Since I'm no hero, the answer is no. And I thought about music, that is, my good friend who's been there for me countless times. The fulfilment I I get from music, if I could get it elsewhere, would I stick to music nevertheless? I don't know. Would you?
Regards,
Rod
PS: can't wait to buy "Inferno"! |

As long as you love music, it will be a panacea when times are tough. Family can be hard, with its ups and downs, but you can never really replace the fulfillment you get from family exactly. If family is not perfect (nobody`s family is!) the best you can do is be honest with yourself and take it with a sense of humor, and try to enjoy the aspects of it that you can enjoy. Best of luck. |
