Hi, Marty! I am a drummer, got in a band and enjoy playing with them. The problem is that there is this dude who writes everything and is hard to accept any input. Make seriously good demos of your ideas, and present them to the guy. If they are undeniably really good, he would be a fool not to consider using your ideas. You also need to be brutally honest with yourself about your own stuff too-is it really great? Best of luck.
