hey, marty! i've been recording home lately and i come up with zillions of renditions of guitar tracks, vocal tracks and so on... i try different pitches, different keys, different attitudes... i end up lost in the middle of an ocean of versions and recording takes. please, suggest an organization method. thanks! - carl

Throw out everything that is not fantastic. Keep only your best stuff. I throw out about 90% of what I do, maybe more. I hate weeding through old ideas. If it sucks now, it will probably not get better over time like wine. Get rid of stuff constantly. Instead of spending time going through old ideas, constantly create new ideas. Good luck.
