where you can get your marty fix
Yes, it`s true!! Marty will do the Japan tour with the the amazing rock goddess Aikawa Nanase in June and July. For those of you not familiar with Aikawa Nanase, she has sold over 12 million cd`s (in Japan alone!) and besides being a fabulous singer, she is one of the few singers in Japan who actually write their own lyrics. Her style is full of attitude and charm, great pop hooks chock full of powerful heavy rock guitars. Very high energy, uptempo music. The production of her records is done by none other than Tetsuro Oda who is known for his futuristic cutting edge production and unique song sense. According to Marty, "I was a fan of her music already and when I got to meet her we just clicked. She is so fun to talk to, the hours just fly. I really can`t wait to start making music." Till then, Marty is in the middle of a special seminar tour of Japan (for MI Japan) including Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo and 5 other cities. This is a members only kind of thing so either sneak in or become a member!

On top of that Marty is still doing plenty of radio in Japan, as well as magazine interviews for the US and Canada. Watch for interviews in Guitar World, Guitar One, Guitar Player and others. The promo never stops! Possible US tour in the works??
Just added--6/22-6/23 guitar seminar for Roland/Boss in Okinawa! This will Marty's first trip to that exotic beach destination, so be sure to show up and spread the luv!
Anyone watch ESPN SportsCenter? You`re gonna hear Marty`s music there this summer. Marty just finished recording some tracks for that, and they are smoking!
Speaking of TV, Marty just finished guitar tracks for a Nissan commercial at Sound City Studio in Tokyo. It's a heavy track, a song we all know and love!

QUICK BYTE- Marty has spent the last few days in the 'secret lab' underground studio of the Roland/Boss company with the Roland/Boss engineers dialing Marty's tone for the upcoming tour with Aikawa Nanase. "To have the guys who actually conceived and invented the world's top of the line music gear personally dig in and show me the best ways to use the GT-6 and VG-88 has been an amazing experience. My tone has never been this good. Thanks, guys!" says Marty. Aikawa Nanase's music is produced by genius Tetsuro Oda and we can expect Marty's live interpretation of Oda's guitar magic to be nothing less than awe inspiring. |
